About me
studio jewelry artist
I'm a metalsmith, studio jewelry artist or simply a person who makes things. I create mostly one-of-a-kind and limited edition jewelry by hand. I like a challenge, to come up with new ideas and then try to figure out a variety of ways to solve the problem of how to go about making it. I love to experiment and use a range of materials to fit my ideas which grow out of my interest in movement, connections, form and thought. I love subtle details and sound.
After growing up in the suburbs of Syracuse, New York I wanted a city experience so attended the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and graduated in 2000. I then promptly moved 3,031.94 miles (according to mapquest) to the stunningly different city at the complete opposite end of I-90, Seattle, Washington. After several years and a few more cross-country moves, my husband, Sean Albert, and I purchased our first house in the diverse city of Tukwila where we have a little bit of country near the city. We have two dogs, five chickens, a bee hive and lots of plants. We all (minus the chickens) also like to get out and enjoy this vast wilderness of mountains, forests, lakes and ocean that surround us. Since 2006, I also have acted as the Executive Assistant for the non-profit arts organization the Glass Art Society.
